SCDA & SCDLA Meeting – Myrtle Beach, SC

Gary Morgan, CDT, ASQ CQA, Speaker - “Is it Safe?” @ 4:30-5:30 PM

Have you looked around the lab lately? Is it the safest and healthiest workplace you can make it? Eliminating or minimizing the risk of workplace injuries and illnesses is the reason OSHA has so many rules. Infection control, chemical safety, and ergonomics are just some of the programs that should be reviewed annually to ensure that the workplace is the safest and healthiest it can be. This presentation will review how both employers and employees can work together to provide an environment that minimizes the risk of workplace injuries or illnesses.

SCDA & SCDLA Meeting – Myrtle Beach, SC

Gary Morgan, CDT, ASQ CQA, Speaker - Three Hour Course: Are Your Infection Prevention Practices Really Effective?

Having written infection control procedures is important, however, ensuring that they are current and are being followed is critical to worker and patient safety. The CDC recommends that employers review their infection prevention practices on a regular basis. Appointing an Infection Prevention Coordinator (IPC) to assume this responsibility provides accountability to ensure that regular monitoring is being performed. This course will review infection control practices specific to dental practices and dental laboratories. Gary D. Morgan, CDT, CQA/ASQ and Sr. VP of SafeLink Consulting Inc. will review how to assess your current infection prevention practices in order to determine their effectiveness.

May 12, 2018

The goal of every dental laboratory is to achieve customer satisfaction with the products and services provided to the dental client and the patient. This seminar will show how using Root Cause Analysis and determining and implementing Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions will help reduce both internal and external remakes. Customer complaints concerning product service issues can be reduced as well. Creating useful metrics and analyzing the data for trend analysis will be discussed.
